An exciting new opportunity has arisen within the service for an experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to support the development of our new Forensic CAMHS service, to work part-time (4PA) within the Community Forensic CAMHS team which provides comprehensive community-based services to patients registered with GP’s in Banford Community Hospital in South West England.
The post holder will need to be innovative and able to work flexibly across traditional service and agency boundaries. They will be given a high level of support to deliver what is a key priority for the Trust.
The service is a tertiary referral service for CAMHS teams, CAMHS/Youth Offending Team (YOT) link workers and neuro disability services for young people and other agencies. The team will be accessible to all agencies (e.g. social services, YOTs, prisons, courts, solicitors, education, health commissioners etc.) that may have contact with young people exhibiting risky behaviours or young people in the youth justice system who have mental health difficulties.
