If office based – full Covid-19 protection measures are in place. Most offices are working on a rota basis, however all offices are set up to be Covid safe

ADVANCED PRAC needed for Safeguarding Teams 

The candidate will work with children on child protection plans, child in need plans, and public law/care proceedings. These social workers work very closely with other agencies, and use a contextualised safeguarding approach to their work.

There are 15 safeguarding teams, all working to solve child related issues across the county in creative, effective and safe ways.

Aps are supported by their colleagues, as well as senior managers across the trust.

The ideal candidate will have great working experience in a safeguarding environment, plenty of knowledge related to child protection laws. Successful candidates have been found from CIC, LAC and EDT backgrounds. The SP needs to have been working already at AP level, so should be able to hit the ground running.

Rate of Pay

£32.00ph umbrella.  The higher rate will be offered where candidates demonstrate substantive/relevant post qualifying experience (normally three years).

Candidates are expected to have an enhanced DBS Disclosure (cleared in the past 3 months) or be on the Update service. Candidates are also expected to provide 2 x Professional References.
